A luxuriously soft, light and floaty,  shawl/wrap, with soft, frayed hems. It is soft to the touch and feels warm against the skin. This shawl was eco-printed with  woodland foliage and Cotinus leaves (the blue ones) and it was dyed with Alder buckthorn bark which gave it a soft pinkish brown hue.

The two ends have raw edges for a more natural drape. If they fray a little, just brush them with a soft brush or trim the ends from time to time.

Eco-printing means that the natural plants are pressed into close contact with the fabric and steamed, and through this multi-step, lengthy process the plants create a permanent print on the fabric, imparting some of their pigments as well.

Whether you like to wear it across the shoulders as a chic wrap or around the neck as a scarf, this stunning one-of-a-kind scarf is bound to make a statement.

Size: 70 cm wide, 145cm long.

Fabric: 50% wool, 45% modal and 5% silk blend in a very subtle diamond weave.

Modal is an Eco-friendly alternative to cotton.  Modal is a cellulose fibre produced in a closed system with minimum use of water, and maximum recycling of water. Modal has minimum shrinkage and hold colours extremely well and does not pill.

Hand crafted things carry little imperfections, which add to their unique character. These are not defects, but a distinctive feature of their uniqueness.

We strive to provide accurate colour descriptions, however due to variations in the hand dyeing process as well as computer monitor colour displays, there may be slight variations between your actual item and those pictured in our sample photographs.

Fabric care: Preferably hand-wash only with shampoo (it is more gentle, to protect the wool and silk and the plant dyes) or a pH neutral detergent for silks and wool. Do not wring, only squeeze gently the wet fabric and let it dry in shade. It dries quickly.
Do not tumble dry
